The Joint Entrance Examination or JEE Main is one of country’s premier and pan-India level exams conducted for admission to various engineering colleges in the country with the National Testing Agency (NTA) as the organizing body.
On the lines of 2021, the National Testing Agency (NTA)is likely to conduct the JEE Main 2022 exam in four sessions – February, March, April, and May with the objective of providing greater flexibility to students.
Candidates can opt to appear in one session or in all four sessions (from February till May) in JEE Main 2022, with the highest score of all the appearances being taken into consideration for the purpose of ranking and admissions to various engineering and technical courses across 100 plus (107) premier institutions throughout the country, including 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 23 IIITs and 28 other government-funded technical institutes (Other-GFTIs).
Besides, the JEE Main 2022 will be conducted in thirteen (13) different Indian languages – Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, Assamese, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Tamil, Odia, Telugu, and Urdu including English adding to the flexibility of students. It may be noted that while exams in English, Hindi, and Urdu will be held throughout the country but the exams in regional language papers, however, will be held in the concerned states.
JEE Main 2022 Registration (Tentative)
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be releasing the official JEE Main 2022 notification and registration for the February session in the 2nd week of December 2021 (tentative) while the registrations for March and April JEE Main 2022 sessions is likely to begin in the last week of February 2022 and March 2022 respectively. The JEE Main 2022 exam session in May will have registration commence in the final week of April (tentative). JEE Main 2022 Exam Dates (Tentative)
The first session of JEE Main 2022 will be held in the fourth week of February while the second and third sessions of JEE Main 2022 will be conducted in the third week of March and fourth week of April respectively with the final session of JEE Main 2022 to be held in the last week of May, which is subjected to change as per the discretion of the testing agency.

JEE Main 2022 Eligibility
Candidates appearing for the JEE Main 2022 must have passed the final examination of 10+2 (Class 12) or its equivalent in 2020, 2021, or appearing in 2022 irrespective of the age, as there is no upper age limit.
However, candidates appearing for B.E/B.Tech must have passed in 5 subjects in Class 12 – Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology or any other technical vocational subject with Mathematics & Physics being mandatory. Candidates applying for B.Arch must have mandatorily passed Class 12 with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry while those appearing for B.Plan must have passed Class 12 with Mathematics as mandatory subject.
In addition to an Indian citizen, NRIs, PIOs, OCIs & Foreign national candidates can also apply for JEE Main 2022
JEE Main 2022 Syllabus
The JEE Main 2022 comprises of two papers, i.e. Paper 1 (B.E/B.Tech – Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry) for 300 marks and Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning – Mathematics, General Aptitude, and Drawing/Mathematics, General Aptitude and Planning) for 400 marks, and candidates may take one, or both the papers as per the aspirant’s choice of admission.
The syllabus for the JEE Main 2022 is likely to remain the same covering topics from Class 11 and Class 12 – Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry streams., Candidates, however, must refer to the official JEE Main 2022 syllabus for both paper 1 and paper 1 which will be released by NTA on its website

Physics – Includes General Topics, Mechanics, Thermal Physics, Electricity and Magnetism, Optics, and Modern Physics.
Mathematics – Includes topics under Algebra, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus, and Vectors. Chemistry – Includes topics under Physical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry.
