JEE Main 2022 Day 2, Shift-1 Paper Analysis and Students’ Reactions

Today (NTA) JEE Mains 2022 first shift exam on 24th June started at 9 am and ended at 12 noon. The second shift exam will be held from 3 PM to 6 PM. Candidates can now check JEE Main Exam Analysis 2022 according to students’ responses and unofficial JEE Answer Keys released by DailyLearn Educators. Here, we will update the questions in today’s JEE Main 2022 paper. NTA will release the official JEE Main Answer Key 2022 a few days after the conclusion of the exam.

Physics had a total of 30 questions – Sec-I had 20 Multiple choice questions with Single correct answers & Sec-II had 10 Numerical based questions out of which only 5 had to be attempted. The marking scheme for multiple-choice questions was +4 for a correct response, -1 for an incorrect response, and 0 if not tried. The marking scheme for numerical-based questions was +4 for a correct response, -1 for an incorrect response, and 0 in all other cases.

The level of difficulty as per feedback from students on 24th June 2022 (Morning Shift)

Mathematics – Numerical Based Questions were reported as lengthy by a few students.

Chemistry –  Few Numerical based questions had lengthy calculations but were easy. Few Theory-Based questions from class XII chapters of NCERT were asked.

Chemistry –  Physical Chemistry is mostly asked Numerical based Questions. More Weightage was given to Inorganic Chemistry, and questions were NCERT Based.

Overall Level of Paper – Easy to Moderate

Chemistry – Easy
Physics – Easy to moderate
Mathematics – Moderate to difficult

As per this paper, the expected cutoff will be nearly the same of 5-10 marks above the year 2021.
